Mohamed K. Kamara Ph.D., is a Computer and Information Sciences professor. He joined Linxerve Academy in the Fall Semester of 2017 with over 18 years of teaching experience. He is currently an adjunct professor of Computer Science at the University of the Potomac Graduate School, the University of District of Columbia school of Information Technology and Webster University Graduate School of Computer Science and Math.
Dr. Kamara worked as a full-time professor at
the American College of Commerce and Technology from 2010 to 2017 and as
adjunct professor of the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences
at Stratford University from 2006 to 2015. While at Stratford, he developed the
graduate telecommunications' curriculum and at American College of Commerce and
Technology, he developed the Computer and Information Sciences Undergraduate
program. He was the chairman of the graduate council and a presided over the
accreditation committee for ABET.
In addition to his teaching experience, Dr.
Kamara has several years of professional hands-on field work experience in the
IT industry. He worked in all levels of IT from help desk, network
administration, IT security coordinator to Project Management. He has a deep
knowledge and hands-on experience in researching, developing, analyzing and
implementing new software modules and hardware devices.
Dr. Kamara completed his Ph.D. course work in
Information Technology Security and Assurance at George Mason University and
research work/dissertation at Walden University to earn his Ph.D. in 2013. He
earned his MSc. honor's degree in Computer Communications Technology from
Strayer University and a BSc. honor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering
from Stavanger University – Norway. He has diplomas in electronics, software
engineering, computer hardware technology and networking from respectable
poly-technique institutions.
Dr. Kamara had won two awards for community
building in higher education. He is an author of two books:
1) The Implications of Internet Usage
2) The impacts of Cognitive Theory on Human and
Computer Science Development
3) In Progress, "Securing Critical
Infrastructures
